Biography: Prof. V.K. Jain did his B.Tech. from MACT Bhopal (Vikram University, Ujjain), and M. Tech. and Ph.D. from University of Roorkee (now, IIT Roorkee). He has about 44 years of teaching and research experience. He has served as a visiting professor at university of California at Berkeley (USA) and university of Nebraska at Lincoln (USA). He retired as a professor from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur after serving for thirty three years. Dr. Jain has won three gold medals, two silver medals and one best paper award as recognition to his research work. He is editor-in-chief of three International journals and associate editor of Int J. Engineering manufacture and J. Machining Science and Technology. In recognition to the research work of Dr. Jain, he has been opted as a member of the editorial board of more than ten international journals. He has also worked as a guest-editor for more than ten special issues on TQM, CAPP, advanced machining processes, micromanufacturing, and micro fabrication. He has more than 300 publications to his credit. He has written and edited eight books. He has guided fifteen Ph.D. Students and around one hundred M. Tech. / M. E. Students. Dr. Jain has various research areas of interest, viz. Advanced machining techniques (ECM, EDM, AFM, MAF, MRAF, and others), machining of advanced engineering materials, shear strain acceleration phenomenon in metal cutting, computer aided manufacturing, and CAPP.

Biography: Dr. M.V. Reddy obtained his Ph. D (2003) in the area of Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Bordeaux, France. He worked at the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Chemistry and Physics, National University of Singapore (NUS). Singapore. June 2019 to Aug 2021, he worked at the Centre of Excellence in Transportation Electrification and Energy Storage, Hydro-Québec, Canada. Currently working as a Senior Professional Researcher and group leader in Energy storage Technology at Nouveau Monde Graphite (New graphite world) (NMG), Quebec, Montreal, Canada. Over the past 21 years, he has conducted leading research on Materials for Energy Storage, Materials processing & characterization, Nanotechnology, Energy and environment and the development of in situ techniques for Energy storage renewable technologies. Dr. Reddy has published 220 papers in various international journals. He has obtained an h-index of 69 with over 17400 citations. These have recently placed him within the top 2% highly cited researchers in Energy (world Ranking the 1002nd out of 186500 researchers) and Highly cited Researcher in Materials Science in Canada (National ranking:39) Dr. Reddy is serving as an editorial advisory board member in Materials Research Bulletin and Journal of Energy Storage (Elsevier, Scopus journal) as well as several open access journals Awards: Outstanding Science Mentorship Award (2010- 2018), and Inspiring Research Mentor Award (2011 to 2019), 2021 Battery Materials electrochemistry award from the Electrochemical Society of India, Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, India. Invited life member in ICDD USA and IPS Singapore and Global Materials Network Invited committee member in various international Research proposals, Ph.D theses examiner and conference organizations and visiting Professor at various Universities.

Biography: Rohan Shirwaiker is a Professor and University Faculty Scholar in the Edward P. Fitts Department of Industrial & Systems Engineering at NC State University. He is also an associate faculty of Biomedical Engineering and Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering and serves as an Associate Director of the NC State Comparative Medicine Institute. His research focuses on advancing the manufacturing science and technology for biomedical applications. His group develops new engineered tissue product, process, and non-destructive quality monitoring technologies and investigates production planning and supply chain issues that are crucial to the scale-up and translation of these next-generation biological products. Shirwaiker has coauthored over 150 journal and conference publications and has received distinctions including the US National Science Foundation’s CAREER Award and SME Outstanding Young Manufacturing Engineer Award. He currently serves on different boards and committees for professional organizations including ASME, ASTM, IISE and SME.
